Our meet-ups are all about exploring the intersection between health, wellbeing and digital, as well as creativity. Our purpose is to bring together people accessing health and social care services, practitioners, developers, designers, SMEs and academics to learn, share and build relationships for collaboration.
At this September Show and Tell, Veronica Southern will share her journey of Teleswallowing.com – an innovative use of telemedicine whereby the Speech and Language Therapist can rapidly and accurately assess a care home resident’s ability to swallow remotely, without the need for face-to-face assessment. Veronica is former Clinical Lead in Speech and Language Therapy and now part time Clinical Lead in Tele-solutions at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Additional Information: Refreshments will be provided. Futurelabs is a 10-15 minute walk from Leeds Train Station and there is ample pay and display car parking available at Templar Lane/Edward Street car park, Victoria Gate car park or Quarry Hill car park – all of which are within walking distance.
