An Invitation:

The Phase 3 NHS response to Covid19 letter sent from NHS England/Improvement to all NHS Leaders on 31 July 2020 specifically highlights the need to ensure that digitally enabled care pathways increase inclusion. For the purposes of this research we are calling this and the breadth of digital inclusion initiatives  'Inclusive Digital Transformation'.

mHabitat is working with NHSX to find out more about the current picture of 'Inclusive Digital Transformation' in a health and care context at an Integrated Care System (ICS)/Sustainability and Transformation Partnership (STP) level and at a local level across the country.

9 million people struggle to use digital in the UK and the people most likely to be digitally excluded are also more likely to need health and care services. Barriers are complex and multi-faceted. This complexity means that one size does not fit all and there will be many different approaches and activities.

Inclusive Digital Transformation means purposefully working together to co-design inclusion into digital transformation at a strategic and delivery level to ensure that everyone benefits from digitally enabled health and care.

The first stage of our research is two surveys. We will analyse these surveys and carry out a small number of deep dive interviews. We will be sharing the findings in due course.

We hope this will shine a spotlight on good practice that has taken place that has resulted in better digital access/health outcomes.

Inclusive Digital Transformation Locality Survey

We are inviting local stakeholders to complete a short survey to find out what digital inclusion activities are being delivered at a local level across the country.

We expect the survey to take 5 -10 minutes to complete. The deadline for completing this survey is 25 November 2020.

Inclusive Digital Transformation ICS and STP Survey

We are inviting ICS/STP digital or other relevant leads to complete a short survey to explore an ICS/STP approach to ‘Inclusive Digital Transformation’ so far.

We expect the survey to take 10- 15 minutes to complete. The deadline for completing this survey is 25 November 2020.
